US Department of Education College Scorecard
College Scorecard’s Field of Study search allows you to explore the subject areas of Certificate, Associate’s, Bachelor’s, and even advanced degrees offered at colleges all over the United States. Use College Scorecard to compare costs, earnings, and debt burdens between fields of study.
College Visits
Selecting a college can be one of the major decisions a high school student must make. Proper planning often involves an actual visit to the college campus. College visits are not permitted the last two weeks of the semester. All appropriate forms may be found on the CCC website or in the counseling and career center.
Juniors and Seniors will be allowed up to two excused absences each year for college visits.
College Applications
Students who receive free or reduced lunch are eligible for a fee waiver to assist with costs of the application fees. Print out & complete the Application Fee Waiver and turn it into Mrs. Judkins. Copies also provided in the CCC.
Many colleges and universities use the Common Application or you can apply directly through the college/university website.
Letters of Recommendation
Seniors applying to college and/or for scholarships will want to ask two teachers to write letters of recommendation. Fill out a student information form for your teachers ahead of time. Be considerate and give at least 2 weeks to write your recommendation letter.
Transcripts
Request your high school transcripts through Parchment. If you are using the common application your school counselor will automatically upload your transcript for those schools to download.
