National Honor Society
Purpose
The purpose of the Blissfield Chapter of the National Honor Society is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership and to encourage a development of admirable character in the students of Blissfield High School.
Selection
High School sophomores who qualify will be invited in the spring to apply. To be considered, students must meet the following requirements:

3.5 GPA or higher

participate in at least 2 school activities, clubs, or organizations

have documented 20 hours of community service

demonstrate activity in each of the four pillars: service, scholarship, leadership, and character

Applications will be reviewed and selection completed by the Faculty Council. Members will be inducted in the fall of their junior year.
Membership Expectations
Members attend the annual induction ceremony, scheduled meetings, plan and participate in at least three service projects each year, document 20 hours of community service each year, and fundraise or pay dues to cover basic costs for the organization.

If your organization is seeking volunteers for a community service project, you may submit a request for volunteers. Be sure to complete the entire form to be considered. All projects require approval from the adviser or administration.
